Well they were ALL proved wrong folks.
Last week it gave up completely, no movement in the drum at all.  >:(
Still under insurance so I called them back out - it was the brushes!
They have been replaced.
Now it spins EVERYTHING!
Idiots!  >:(

Up date
I was told yesterday that it is the Mansfield Eyres shop which is to close. Didn't know they had one there, but pleased it's not the Chesterfield one.
However more job losses I suppose  :(

General Discussion / Photo sent to me
« on: March 31, 2013, 07:55:55 PM »
A relative has emailed a couple of photo's of me when I was about 16/17yrs old - think my mirror can't be working because the face looking out at me isn't like the one sent to me  ;)
It's stirred up memories of the olden days.
Coal fires with mums brothers (we all lived together) warming their backsides near the fireguard. Lino on the floors and a loose rug or two. Potties under the bed - strange how we used them even though we had an upstairs bathroom - old habbits die hard. Frost inside the windows upstairs - and dad  trying to de-ice the water pipe which came outside from the bathroom.
And that young lass with the black hair and Dusty Springfield eyes --- wonder where she went too.

We have enough on with Joe Bloggs out for compensation. recent bad weather meant that anyone who cleared the pavement infront of their property stood a chance of being sued.
Now the police are at it.
Looking at the photo in the link - she walks around with her eyes closed!!
So what does she expect - silly woman

RETIRED PERSONS HEALTH MESSAGE

As I was lying around, pondering the problems of the world,
I realized that at my age I don't really care anymore.

.. If walking is good for your health, the postman would be immortal.

.. A whale swims all day, only eats fish, drinks water, but is still fat.

.. A rabbit runs and hops and only lives 15 years, while

.. A tortoise doesn't run and does mostly nothing, yet it lives for 150 years.

And you tell me to exercise?? I don't think so.

Just grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked,
the good fortune to remember the ones I do,
and the eyesight to tell the difference

WELFARE CHECK

A young man walked into the local welfare office to pick up his check. He
marched up to the counter and said, "Hi. You know, I just HATE drawing
welfare. I'd really rather have a job. I don't like taking advantage of
the system, getting something for nothing."

The social worker behind the counter said..."Your timing is excellent. We
just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a chauffeur
and bodyguard for his beautiful daughter. You'll have to drive around in
his 2012 Mercedes-Benz CL, and he will supply all of your clothes."

"Because of the long hours, meals will be provided. You'll also be expected
to escort the daughter on her overseas holiday trips. This is rather
awkward to say, but you will also have, as part of your job, the assignment
to satisfy her sexual urges as the daughter is in her mid-20's and has a
rather strong sex drive."

The guy, just plain wide-eyed, said, "You're bullshittin' me!"

The social worker said, "Yeah, well...You started it."
