We bought a collie dog for daughter when she was younger he was a soft as a brush - but would let gas/electric metre readers in - but not out  :-? Also if I was walking him alone at night I had to put him on a short lead - as if a male passed me - he wasn't happy  :-? he never did bite anyone though thank goodness. Just his odd ways. Very protective of me bless him  :-*

Yes Alsatian I remember you saying they had stopped it. All a big issue at the moment but from what you have said about your sister she should still get her DLA when it moves to PIP (although you will have to re-apply for it) Also she should hopefully be put in the support group (unless she has already been assessed for it).
I will record it and watch it later - see what it's about.

really sad about this fire am wondering what type of fireworks they used?
I bought an indoor firework last year for my granddaughters birthday cake we had the meal at the Smithy pond I phoned and spoke to the manager about using it - he said he thought it would be ok so I told him I would seek him out when I arrived and show it too him - whatever he decided I would be fine with. - We used it and it just went up a short way from the cake - no problems at all.
As for selling fireworks i think it would be a good idea to stop selling them to Jo public - but then I remember my little shoe box where I kept my fireworks pre- bonfire night as a child, with anticipatian of watching my dad light them by our bonfire. I used my spendo each week and we went round penny for the guy.
I then wonder did I really want the children to miss out on this fun leading up to bonfire night. if it means keeping them safe I suppose so (says grudgingly  :( )
Sorry off topic a bit

No more for us Pete not yet anyway. They say we are due for a big thaw and there is already evidence of that as we walked home up the single traffic  main raod through our village where the snow had melted and was running a little river down it.
Put a lot down hasn't it more tahn last week.

There will be many who maybe won't work that out  :-?
We are told that a lot of younger generation have problems with basic maths  :(
When daughter was at school the way they taught times table wasn't i thought that good. I stuck to my guns and she learned them the way I was taught.
Maybe it's me but I never could see how it would be easy for her to do a quick calculation in her head by the 5,10, 15,20 way. To me the old fashioned 1x5 is 5 made more sense for quick calculations.
Be it right or wrong what I do know is that although she's not a well pixie these days she's still a whizz at mental arithmetic - her name 'the calculator' given by teachers still stands
ps - she doesn't take after me  :))
