Plastic £5.00 notes
« on: March 23, 2015, 04:38:12 PM »
Hearing the news today it seems we are having plastic £5 notes in the near future.
Anyone know anything about these.
My thoughts are - will they be rigid plastic or pliable, it might sound a daft question but purses and wallets bend!!!

I'm sure that they will have all that sorted OC.

I hope they use tear resistant plastic.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

They've been in use in a couple of dozen countries for years, Australia has had them since 1988! They're very thin, made of polymer. I've got one kicking about somewhere, not that different in use from paper - folds nicely Pam...

Damn!!
There's me thinking I would have to have hubbies ( for safe keeping  ;) ) in the bottom of my handbag if they didn't fold. >:
