Why is the newly laid Tarmac in Chesterfield light brown to burned orange colour?
Not sure of the name of the street, but it's one of the streets which go up towards the Halifax Bank

First time I have ever seen any like this - is it a different type of Tarmac to the black?

The new surface in Hasland is similar and that is to mark it out as a traffic calmed area and is possibly going to be a 20mph area. Not sure about Glumangate, may be to give a similar colour to the cobbled areas. Don't know where matching material to repair potholed will come from though!

Doesn't really match the colour of cobblestone though lets hope they can get a colour match for potholes or it will look a mess with black patches on it.
Thanks for the information, just wondered why it was different that's all.
