He's been cleared of murdering his girlfriend - the right decision I think.
Anyone think he did it with intentions to murder her?

Seriously? I agree with the decision.

But I think he's a dickhead of the first degree.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

As I said I don't think he intended to murder his girlfriend and I think he went into 'Fight' mode which cut off his rational thinking to a degree.
I do think however though that he intended to kill someone - before as he thought they killed him.

Wonder if he will get a prison sentence tomorrow.

Surely he must go down for their equivalent of manslaughter

Me and Our_Lass think he knew damn well she was behind that door, that said we haven't seen the actual evidence.
Thought he'd been charged with manslaughter Slacker, sentencing tomorrow.
Probably get 3 to 5 him being a celebrity and NOT a murderer !!

I've only caught snippets on the radio but as far as I can gather the judge is saying that the state didn't prove he'd done it as opposed to her believing he had. Hence why there's a case of culpable homocide to still answer

I watched some of the trial, the prosecution did his best to get across that Pistorius 'did intend to kill her'

However the psychologist gave what I thought was a very reasonable account of what he thought would have happened and I could identify and so agreed with all he said.

How would we have reacted being in the same situation 'if' we really thought an intruder was in our home and we had no legs.
Panic?
Get them before they get me?

Or would we just speak nicely through the door and ask the person to 'go away please'

South Africa isn't a place I would wish to visit as it seems to be quite common for people to own/carry guns.

Having said that I agree with Pete's comment about him ( not Pete  ::) ) being a dick head.

I read an article yesterday, it was an interview with one of his ex girlfriends mother.
You could well be right Barry - from what she said he sounds a very complicated man.

Did anyone ever read anything on the assessment he had done with the psychiatrist I would be really interested in reading the findings on this report
