Hope the weather holds out for this weekend, it sounds like good fun.
Fun for all the family will be on offer at Tapton Lock in Chesterfield which is hosting a weekend of free activities next weekend (Saturday and Sunday 20-21 September).
A host of activities will be on offer from 11am-4pm at our Tapton Lock visitor centre on the banks of the Chesterfield Canal.
These will include live folk music, have-a-go canoe rides and adventure activities, art workshops, craft stalls and boat trips aboard the John Varley.
There will also be celebrated guest appearances by local band Soapbox Preacher, Chesterfield Folk Club and Springwell Community Choir.
Free parking is available on the old Tesco site off the A61.
The event is being held in partnership with Junction Arts and is funded by us and grant funding from Derbyshire Community Foundation and Community Leadership Scheme with sponsorship from Casa Hotel and Gilder Group Honda.
