I spent a very enjoyable Easter Monday clambering on and off of old buses at a transport museum in Ipswich. It brought back vivid memories of my schooldays in Lincolnshire and on trolleybuses in the London suburbs - happy days   ;D

Here's one for you Scimitar, this is an old photo of EMMS drivers (don't know what the occasion was) and my Dad is the sixth chap from the left. It may possibly be a day trip and they've stopped at a cafe, I do know that in those days drivers were very well looked after (eg fed and watered) by way of a thank you from the cafe owners for bringing them custom.

And another one, this is a 'road staff' day trip - my Dad is easy to spot, the tallest bloke on the back row. My mum is the lady in front of him, she was a conductress and his girlfriend (known on the buses as a 'budgie') at the time of the photo. Dad said the worst job a driver could get was to drive a road staff outing!  MD

Slightly off topic, and not wanting to hijack this thread, but here are some photos of old/older Corporation and EMMS buses
